Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway 2010-08-16
The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway was formed during the demise of the steam era in the late sixties so it certainly has some heritage in more ways than one! The hope - ultimately - is to run the line beyond its western terminus of Haverthwaite towards Greenodd. The infrastructure has long since departed and nothing of Greenodd's station remains, but when funds are in place, there are no developments on the land preventing such an expansion.
